Konnichiwa, R.E.A.L Schools!

8th November was a day to remember for 190 students and eight teachers from Yokohama Senior High School of International Study, Japan as they visited R.E.A.L Schools, Cheras Campus as part of the school’s cultural exchange programme. Following a warm welcome reception, the hosts duly got down to the day’s packed schedule that featured traditional dance and games like congkak, batik painting, and calligraphy, among others.

The visitors had a good time participating and reciprocated by getting our R.E.A.L students to try their hand at ‘kendama’, a traditional Japanese skill toy. Overall, this initiative achieved its objective of exposing students to different cultures and by bringing them together to learn first hand, the cultural diversity of both countries in a fun and relaxed manner and atmosphere.
