NEWS & EVENTS:
Long-Serving Staff Recognized
It was a day of mixed emotions as three departing, long-serving staff of R.E.A.L Education Group were duly and deservedly recognized for their immense contribution and stellar service to the company. Ms. Eunice Loh, Ms. Lee Siew Kim and Ms. Selvi Nadarajah were presented with their respective long-service awards by Mr. Kenny Sim, Vice-President of Group Corporate Resources, in a simple but poignant ceremony at R.E.A.L Education Group’s Head Office in Subang Jaya. It was sad to see them leave the company but at the same time, glad that they were a significant part of R.E.A.L for more than a decade as they now seek pastures anew.
Ms. Selvi joined R.E.A.L as a kindergarten teacher way back in 1995 at R.E.A.L Kids Kampung Tunku. In 2005, she was appointed as a Curriculum Task Force member for lessons in ‘sounds & writing’. The same year, R.E.A.L Kids Kampung Tunku was chosen to receive the ‘Centre of the Year’ award with Ms. Selvi being part of the team which was instrumental in winning the accolade. She also picked up the ‘Excellent Teachers Award’ during R.E.A.L Education Group’s 25th Anniversary Dinner in 2011. Among the notable talents which Ms. Selvi could always call upon is her emceeing prowess. This has resulted in her being appointed as emcee of R.E.A.L Kids’ annual concerts numerous times.
Being the sole long service award recipient from R.E.A.L Schools, Ms. Lee Siew Kim is known for her passion and dedication to her profession. In 2001, she joined R.E.A.L Schools’ Suria Campus in Cheras as a Primary school Mathematics teacher. Her competence and performance saw her being subsequently promoted to Head of Department in Mathematics in 2004. Two years later, Ms. Lee’s efforts were further recognized when she was given a ‘Letter of Recognition’ for going the extra mile in the areas of Student Welfare, Internal Customer Service, as well as assisting in the implementation of the EMS or Education Management System at Primary level.
Ms. Eunice embarked on her journey with R.E.A.L as an Assistant Teacher of R.E.A.L Kids Wangsa Melawati in 2004. A year later, she was promoted to Class Teacher and subsequently as Pre-2 Head of Department. In her bid to enhance her teaching skills further, Ms. Eunice successfully completed her Diploma in Early Childhood Education from institute CECE. She resigned from R.E.A.L Education Group whilst holding the position of Assistant Supervisor of R.E.A.L Kids Wangsa Melawati.
With the award presentation ceremony being a ‘first’ to be implemented, it indeed timely and fitting for R.E.A.L Education Group to officially express its gratitude and appreciation towards staff who have served for more than 10 years. R.E.A.L thanks them for the vital role each of them played during their long tenure with the company and wishes them all the best in their future endeavours. As they seek a new chapter and fresh challenges in life, the profound impact and lasting memories they leave behind will not be forgotten.
