In ongoing efforts to provide quality education as well as to ensure continuous and sustainable growth, R.E.A.L Education Group constantly seeks opportunities to establish mutually-beneficial relationships with strategic partners who are also key players in their respective industries.
The latest collaboration saw representatives of R.E.A.L and SRI College sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during a simple ceremony held at R.E.A.L Education Group’s head office on 2 October 2017.
Present at the ceremony to sign the MoU were Mr. Kenny Sim, Vice-President of Group Corporate Resources at R.E.A.L and Dr. Jeffery J. Louis, Head of SRI College. Several staff members from both parties were also in attendance to witness the signing.
SRI College was set up to specialize in Early Childhood Education, Care and Development. The higher learning institution provides an avenue for its students to obtain various credentials in the field; from Certificate to Diploma and Degree.
The MoU is set to boost R.E.A.L’s effort in hiring more qualified teachers for its growing number of preschools while providing SRI College students with internship opportunities (with a view of employment upon graduation). This agreement allows greater access for SRI College graduates to teach at any one of R.E.A.L Kids’ 30-plus centres nationwide. At the same time, current R.E.A.L Kids teachers who intend to pursue a Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) at SRI College would also get to enjoy special rates.
This maiden collaboration is in line with the Ministry of Education’s efforts to raise the standard and quality of preschool education in the country; as well as catering to R.E.A.L’s educational philosophy in which teachers are vital ‘facilitators’ of the learning process; guiding students towards becoming confident, committed and competent lifelong learners.
