R.E.A.L Kids Reach Out to Refugees

R.E.A.L Kids is always glad to be given the opportunity to give back to the community. On the festive month of December 2014, exactly a week before Christmas, R.E.A.L Kids’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative certainly got into the spirit of cheerful giving when a team paid a visit to the Elshaddai Refugee Learning Centre (ERLC) in Klang, Selangor.

Shobana Rao, R.E.A.L Kids Curriculum Development & Training Manager, led a small team in delivering 350 sets of Math, Science, Music and Character Building textbooks for 4-6 year old levels. A grateful Gan Whye Ying, coordinator of ERLC, could not have been any happier and thankful for the donation. “It is always a privilege to be able to contribute and give back to society,” said Ms. Shobana. “R.E.A.L is passionate about quality education, so being able to help young immigrants learn better is always a pleasure!” she added.

ERLC was chosen after R.E.A.L Kids CSR had determined that there was a need for the materials in which we were privileged to be able to provide. ERLC is under supervision by the Migrant Ministry Klang (MMK), whose mission is to positively impact the lives of foreign immigrants in Malaysia by reaching out to the surrounding alien communities. R.E.A.L Kids CSR meanwhile, is committed towards reaching out and contributing to communities via such organizations or any other viable means.
